Vacation at Bayou Heron
Bayou Heron is located on the bay, across from the ocean. The location is ideal for a variety of activities: boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boards, biking and most important RELAXING!
Staying at Bayou Heron is perfect for families of all ages. Our unit is on the top floor of a two-story building, with easy access by both stairs and elevator. There is a private pool on the property, along with a dock with six slips. If you plan to bring your boat, please let us know so we can ensure a slip is available for your stay. Fishing off the dock is a great activity as well. There is a boat launch behind the property, along with several other boat launches on the Island.
There is also a kayak launch in front of the property, with great locations for both boating and kayaking. Kayaks and paddle boards can be rented on the island. It is not recommended to walk barefoot on the kayak launch as it gets very hot.
Access to the unit is through a keypad pin provided a few days prior to your scheduled visit. A wagon in the laundry room is available to help unload your car. Beach chairs and towels, a picnic cooler, pool toys, along with many other amenities to make your stay carefree.
